Walker`s Soda Fountain in Mount Airy

I love this place! The people are so friendly and welcoming! The food is delicious also. I always get the double bacon cheese burger and fries. Its so tasty! I highly recommend this place!

After the Snappy Lunch Fiasco of ‘19, I thought I’d give main street Mount Airy a chance to redeem itself by visiting Walker’s Soda Fountain. Walker’s is cutely decorated with nostalgic items, including the “Mayberry” memorabilia ubiquitous to Mount Airy businesses. It is also staffed by very cheerful, friendly people. Unfortunately, the lunch was just fair. The chili and slaw were too sweet and overwhelmed the taste of the burger patty and especially the dog, which was mild to begin with. Fries were average. There’s just not much else to say. Pass. Go to Leon’s instead.

Absolutely love this place! The food is delicious and you couldn't ask for better service! The milkshakes were amazing as well. We drive 4 hours to get to Mt. Airy and we always come here for a hotdog and a milkshake! Keep up the good work!!!

My husband and grandson stopped in for burgers, fries and a chocolate malt. Great burgers! Polite servers and a lot of character and charm. It's cooked to order but the wait time was reasonable. We will go back!

The food was disappointing. I order a sundae to go it was half the size of the one another table received to eat in but it was suppose of ben8the same one and the prices was The same. The owner was going to everyone table and conversating. He walked past our table several times. He spoke after we've been there over 30 minutes he decides to come over Very short conversation. Did not like the atmosphere will not visit again.

This place was great. Great chance to step backwards in time. The "Jerk" was friendly and very welcoming. A perfect excuse for a sundae treat.
